As part of IBM's commitment to quality and continuous improvement, we established an additional service testing environment called Consolidated Service Test (CST). As a result, we redefined our RSU (Recommended Service Upgrade) for the z/OS platform so that it contains service that has been through CST testing with all the current PTFs for these products listed together. We can now recommend PTF service for z/OS and key subsystems together in one RSU sourceid to all z/OS customers, free of charge.
- CICS Transaction Gateway for z/OS
- CICS Transaction Server for z/OS
- DB2 for z/OS
- Geographically Dispersed Parallel Sysplex (GDPS/PPRC) (GDPS/XRC)
- WebSphere Application Server for z/OS
- WebSphere MQ for z/OS
- IBM Tivoli (products listed in quarterly report)
- z/OS Management Facility
Note: For a complete list of products/tools and levels tested, please consult the Quarterly report (PDF,136KB) , specifically the What Service was Installed section.
We test on a quarterly cycle, providing quarterly recommendations and monthly delta recommendations for customers needing more frequent maintenance updates. The table below shows our most recently tested service updates:
|Month/Year||Service Available||RSU Sourceid|
Quarterly report (PDF,136KB)
|All service through the end of December 2019 not already marked RSU. PE resolution and HIPER/Security/Integrity/Pervasive PTFs and their associated requisites and supersedes through February 2020.||RSU2003|

CST testing is performed in addition to existing testing programs and does not replace any current testing performed by the products.
